Information on the Library in Transition

For the summer session 2001 and for the academic year (2001-2002), the Cardinal Hayes Library will be closed for major renovations as part of Manhattan College' s library construction and technology upgrade project. While this project is underway, the books, journals, media and microforms collections in the Hayes Library will not be directly accessible by library users. Items may be requested at the Engineering Library circulation desk or through our online delivery request form and will be retrieved from the Hayes Library and delivered to the Engineering Library.

The Hermann Engineering Library (Room 309) in the Leo Engineering Building will provide to the college community such services as reference, public access computers, and class reserves during the transition period. The seating in the Fischbach area of the Engineering Library will be available as a study area and reading room. During the renovation period, the Engineering Library will be the College's "library in miniature." The Engineering Library will maintain the hours of operation that the Hayes Library provided its users during the academic year.
